Print HPL
Print HPL is a thin, high pressure laminate that is used as a decorative surface material for diverse applications.

Print HPL is an ideal solution for both vertical and horizontal applications. Due to its ease of use and low maintenance requirements, Abet Print HPL is one of the most commonly used materials for interior and contract furniture surfacing. Perfect for use in bars, restaurants, hotels, trains and in the marine sector.
Appealing design and strong personality, Print HPL can be specified in a wide range of colours and textures making it ideal for use for a variety of surfaces.
Its main characteristics include a high resistance to wear, scratches, temperature and impact. Print HPL is the perfect solution for interior decorative surfaces.
The production process is carried out by using several Kraft paper layers impregnated with thermosetting resin and decorative paper impregnated with melamine resin.
Kraft paper used for the sheets back is impregnated with phenolic thermosetting resins, while the decorative paper used for the surface is treated with melaminic aminoplastic resins all of which are specifically designed to have high performance characteristics.
Impregnated layers are stacked and bonded and, once loaded into the press, they undergo the combined action of heat (at the temperature of 150 °C) and pressure (up to 9 MPa). The policondensing reaction taking place creates chemical cross bonds so that phenolic and melaminic resins are bonded to each other.
With its excellent resistance to water and steam, Print HPL is an ideal material for applications in wet areas.
Natural temperature and humidity variations have no adverse effect on the properties of laminates which is not affected by thermal shock, leaving its physical and mechanical properties unchanged.
