Print HPL

Print HPL is a thin, high pressure laminate that is used as a decorative surface material for a wide range of applications.

High pressure laminate is hygienic, durable and low maintenance and available in an extensive array of decors and finishes.

Print HPL is an ideal solution for both vertical and horizontal applications. Due to its ease of use and low maintenance requirements, Abet Print HPL is one of the most commonly used materials for interior and contract furniture surfacing – perfect for use in bars, restaurants, hotels, trains and the marine sector.

It’s appealing design and strong personality allows Print HPL ideal for use for a variety of applications.

It is resistant to scratches, temperature and impact making it the perfect solution for interior decorative surfaces.

High pressure laminate is manufactured  by combining several layers of phenolic impregnated kraft  and a decorative surface paper impregnated with melamine resin.

Each stack of paper is  loaded into a press where it is baked (at the temperature of 150 °C) and compressed (up to 9 MPa). The polycondensation reaction forms chemical cross-links that bond the phenolic and melamine resins together.

 

With its excellent resistance to water and steam, Print HPL is an ideal material for applications in wet areas.

Natural fluctuations in temperature and humidity have no negative impact on the properties of the laminate, which remains unaffected by thermal shock and retains its physical and mechanical characteristics.
