Colman Dock
Seattle -Washington
Project: Colman Dock – Seattle Ferry Terminal
Architect: NBBJ
MEG QSP: Shadwell Oak
Designed by NBBJ and located on the Seattle Waterfront at Pier 52, Washington State Ferries provide access from Seattle to Bainbridge Island and Bremerton.
After a six-year construction process, the new passenger building at Colman Dock (Seattle Ferry Terminal) is finally complete. The new building provides enough space for 1900 ferry riders, twelve turnstiles for each route and seating capacity for over 300 people. Clerestory windows bathe the space in natural light and 4230 square feet of windows overlooking Elliott Bay offer expansive views. MEG QSP (formerly Stonewood Architectural Panels) grace the ceiling of the terminal building. David Yuan of NBBJ chose our material for this project because, “The panels added a richness of texture and color to the main terminal waiting room, allowing the space to extend visually from inside to outside.”
Special thanks to our MEG Agent, Todd Johnson from Facades Northwest!
